Our Staff

Method recognizes its staff as the center’s most important asset for your kids. Many of our staff have been with Method for more than nine years. Our teachers exceed the requirements set by the State of North Carolina. All of our teachers are required to take up to 20 hours of training per year, depending upon their education and experience. Method requires all staff members to be certified in First Aid and CPR annually.

Prior to hiring, a criminal background check is conducted for each employee. We do not hire individuals convicted of child abuse or neglect. We only accept teachers with a commitment to children and their families. In order to enhance your child’s growth and development, we hire teachers who are interested in providing quality care and stimulating environments.

The personnel policies reflect respect for the staff as professionals and provide a basis for understanding and meeting the needs of both the center and families. Method is committed to providing a working environment that exemplifies cooperation and support. The quality of any child care facility is a direct reflection of its staff.

Meet Our Staff!

Natalie Cook, Center Director

“For I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.”  Philippians 4:13 is a bible verse I learned at a very young age.

I am Natalie Cook, the mother of twin girls, the daughter of a very strong woman and the sister of a very talented brother. Children have always been a part of my life.  I helped my grandmother babysit my cousins and children in our neighborhood.

While in college for my Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, I began working at a childcare center nearby and began my career in early childhood. Throughout my 14 years in child care, I obtained a Master's degree in Education with a minor in Technology, Administration Level 3, and my certification to train in SIDS.

Early childhood is a very important step in helping children to develop into a productive citizen.

Tajuana Cutchins, Center Chef
I am an educator, mother, grandmother, life coach and soon to be owner/operator of a dessert/catering business. I have worked with children of all ages for over 30 years. Realizing that working with children is my passion, I joined MCDC in 2002. In 2013, I departed MCDC to pursue a career in the Mental Health Field, but I always find myself drawn back to MCDC (whether part-time or full-time). In 2019 I rejoined the staff at MCDC yet again and I have had a ball! It's as if I never left. The kids are awesome, the parents are great and the new staff have been inviting.
